Quenching means controlled cooling of steel components in a fluid to give specified properties. The dependability of hardness and other physical properties are obtained by composition of steel, dimension, time and temperature of the heat treatment speed and duration of quenching process. These grades are specifically formulated from highly refined petroleum oils with additives which results in good thermal properties, chemicals and oxidation stability, high boiling points and low volatility and high fine and flash points.
